The Australian Covid-19 vaccine roll-out strategy began on the 22nd of February 2021, and aims to have as many people vaccinated as possible in 2021 by providing it free of charge. There are 5 phases (1a, 1b, 2a, 2b and 3) in the vaccines roll-out, in order of the identified priority groups.
We are currently at phase 1a:
Phase 1a means that Quarantine, border and front line health care workers and other sub groups are eligible for the vaccine.
Phase 1b, means:
Melbar clients and workers come under this phase and we will keep the Melbar community updated with any further progress on the vaccine roll-out strategy.
Phase 2a, phase 2b and phase 3 will be the subsequent priority groups as you can see from the figure above.
While you wait to be vaccinated for COVID-19, there are some things you can do to get ready.
